PaciArte è lieta di presentare una nuova mostra di Sandy Skoglund , incentrata sui suoi primi lavori: tra cui le prime installazioni della serie Still life 1978/79, la serie True fiction del 1986 e le sue prime opere inedite realizzate tra il 1974 e 1977.
In questo viaggio a ritroso sarà possibile visionare l’inizio del percorso creativo di questa straordinaria artista.
Nelle prime sperimentazioni si intuisce già quello che poi sarà il suo segno distintivo: la “Stage photography”.
Fin dai primi lavori si scorge l’attenzione di Sandy Skoglund a creare un’immagine composita.
Questa ricerca approda nella serie “Still life”, dove costruisce i primi set fotografici, utilizzando i contrasti di tono e le forme geometriche, arrivando alle “True fiction” in cui crea delle insolite scene quotidiane sostituendo i colori con delle tinte vivaci.
Grazie a questo excursus sarà possibile avere una chiave di lettura per comprendere al meglio le opere di Sandy Skoglund dall’inizio della sua carriera fino ai giorni nostri.

PaciArte is glad to present a new exhibition by Sandy Skoglund , focussed on her early works, including the installations from the “Still Life” cycle from 1978/79, the “True Fiction” 1986 series and her earliest and unpublished works, created between 1974 and 1977.
In this backward journey visitors will be able to see the starting point of the creative path followed by this extraordinary artist.
In the earliest experimentations it was already emerging what would become her distinctive mark: the “Stage Photography”.
Looking at her early works it is perceivable the great attention that Sandy Skoglund pays in creating a composite image.
This research will later come to the “Still Life” cycle, in which she builds her first photographic sets, using contrasting tones and geometrical figures, approaching then the “True Fiction”, in which she creates unusual everyday scenes, replacing colours with lively hues.
Thanks to this path, the visitor will come to an interpretation key for a better understanding of Sandy Skoglund ’s works, from the beginning of her career to the present days.
